4. School Uniform & Recital Costumes
New students require a school in-class uniform. This consists of a School logo or AAIDt logo Polo
shirt, Circle Skirt, dance socks and appropriate shoes. In cols weather a logo overshirt or hoodie may
be worn. Dancers in "Total Dancer program shoudl wear teh following under eth standard uniform.
Each year new recital costumes are required. Small children usually only require a single costume
which averages $65.00. Older, more experienced students, may require up to three costumes
averaging up to $175.00 total.
Often, at least one of the recital costumes will be appropriate for additional public performances
throughout the year and MAY be substituted for a formal school-dress uniform. Feisanna
(competitions) have special rules governing attire and this is also a consideration in determining
whether a student needs a uniform.
At present, we have not found a suitable replacement for our previous school dress-uniforms which
cost approximately $200.00. Therefore no student will be asked to invest in a uniform until fall of 2008.
5. Videos
New students may benefit from the use of home-study DVD’s. There are three DVD’s issues by
AAIDT which cover beginner skills and most beginner dances. These may be purchased by ccurrent
students for the reduced fee of $20.00 each. (retail 29.99) Occasionally, we may produce special
DVD’s of recital or show choreography to aid in learning retention at home. These are also available
to purchase for $20.00 each.
